Angel Altarpiece

Part of the series, Traditional Christmas: Angel Altarpiece. A "mystery angel," this Christmas stamp design was taken from one of the panels of a large altarpiece painting created in 1480. The artist and the place where the work was originally installed, however, remain unknown.

The image is taken from a real postage stamp. This particular stamp was not in my great-grandmother's collection but in some papers from my godmother.

The stamp has been cut and sized to fit the specific pendant.

Chain: 24 inch

Necklaces are water-resistant but not waterproof, I recommend removing them before showering, bathing, or swimming. All pendants and chains are lead and nickel-free.
